BIMBO

In her 2018 neon sculpture Bimbo Neon, Hovnanian has created a wall sculpture of a pair of breasts that seem to leak the word “Bimbo” from the nipples. With this work, the artist visualizes the notion that women are often branded with labels that reference their sexuality. Bimbo Neon satirizes the societal objectification of women and their bodies.
