Breakfast Cereals

Hovnanian’s 2014 series featuring popular breakfast cereals, crystallized with granular glass and sealed under plexiglass frames, brings up the symbolism behind the marketing of sugary cereals to baby boomer parents. The series, created in conjunction with the artist’s solo exhibition Plastic Perfect, probes the ways in which digital technology is changing our experiences and our expectations.
